On the 23rd of June 2017 will start the 65th Festival Lirico in Arena di Verona, with the Premiere of "Nabucco", that will be presented with a brand new production.
The shows will be held during the months of June, July and August and on the final evening, sunday the 27th of August 2017, will be performed the Aida, the most characteristic opera of Arena, in its 1913 old edition.
We want to highlight the great return of "Madama Butterfly" by Giacomo Puccini, directed by Franco Zeffirelli, of "Rigoletto" by Giuseppe Verdi, derected by Ivo Guerra, of "Tosca" by Giacomo Puccini, directed by
Hugo de Ana and the "Nabucco" by Giuseppe Verdi, that in 2017 will be on the scene with a renewed production.
Aida will be on Arena's stage with two different editions, the old one, with 1913 sceneries and the modern one with Catalan Fura
dels Baus production.
There will also be two special evenings with important guests: Maestro Placido Domingo will conduct a Gala on July 21st and on August 15th Arena's audience will be delighted by Concert Symphony No. 9 by Ludwig van Beethoven.
